Meet Georgia

Georgia was the leader of our pack; a spicy, sassy red-head.  Unfortunately, in November 2025, there was a tragic accident here at IGR that ultimately led to Georgia not being able to be saved.  She and her entire litter of nine pups died.  It was a devastating loss for our program and my heart.  Georgia was my "heart dog".

As a believer in Christ, I firmly believe the scripture that says God has a plan for our lives, and that this was part of His plan for my life (Jeremiah 29:11). Do I understand it?  No.  Do I like it? No.  But I trust God completely, and I know for some reason He allowed this tragedy to happen. 

I know He loves me.  I know He has a plan for me.  And I know He will work all things together for good (Romans 8:28).

Georgia was named after George Muller, a missionary from the 1800's.  He ran orphanages and was known for never asking for money.  He only prayed that God would meet their needs.  And God did.  Hence Georgia's registered name:  Goosetown's Depending on God at IGR.
